@JasonFalls session 'the Art of Listening' was special in a lotta ways and though I split time to make sure I hopped into @JeffHurt 's discussion too, when I was in Jason's session a few points really popped.
When Jason discussed how @ChrisBrogan literally spent years developing and sharing killer content and techniques, he was emerging as a thought leader in the SM space. It was NOT overnight, it WAS didactic and thought out and he earned tremendous trust along the way.
Then when it came time for Brogan to introduce his event http://inboundmarketingsummit.com/ ... the actual 'marketing' he had to do to attract sponsors, great speakers, and engaged attendees was extraordinarily minimal when compared to what other event organizers do every single year.
And, it was because of a consistent approach that started years ago. Building, listening, engaging, and providing great content throughout positioned Brogan as a thought leader and now he is able to capitalize on that amazing effort and continue to grow from here.
Jason's session (from what I was in the room for) was very well done. Kudos and this was just one piece of the intellectual pie he shared that I felt was worth serving up again.
Great job,
